Probably the first item you would think to add to your survival bag would be emergency matches that are easy to light and are waterproof. Most water proof matches will be able to light even after soaking in water for 15 to 20 minutes. While this may not be necessary - in reality it is good as you will want your matches to stay fresh in all environments, humidity and storage so that they will actually light when you are counting on them.
Even if you have an alternative fire starting source, it is important to have a redundant backup - Emergency waterproof matches are a good alternative to have on hand.
Not for children. Always keep your bugout bag stored away and out of reach from children.
